On 6 October 2011 Focus Minerals Limited successfully completed an off market takeover of Crescent Gold with Focus holding 81.57% of Crescent Gold shares.

Mining and haulage operations at Laverton commenced in August 2009, with the first batch of ore processed at Barrick's Granny Smith Mill on 11 October 2009. The first processing campaign was completed in November 2009.
Initial production at Laverton achieved forecasted gold ore sales of approximately 100,000 ounces equivalent per annum for the first 12 months of production.
Other Company interests, through a 100% owned subsidiary, include uranium exploration projects through Joint Venture opportunities, which include projects in South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
